About Me

My name is Oltesh Thobias, a banker, father, husband,  mentor, trainer and a speaker

I was born and raised in a small African village in Tanzania. As I started school, i could only speak only one language – Masai, which was my mother tongue.

As is common to the Masai community, I grew up eating beef. This was our staple food, we could eat meat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I grew up an introvert and could not even speak to myself. My first occupation was herding cattle. I grew up believing that I was destined to marry a Masai girl, live out my life in our small village, have children, grandchildren, take it easy and live just a quiet life.

Today

I speak four languages, have added fish to my menu. I speak nationally and internationally- and have been to 30 countries and spoken more than 30,000 people.

I am a graduate and a professional member of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and the Project Management Institute. Also a member of both United Nations High-Level Committee on Management and the Network of Procurement in International Organizations.  I am alsoa Toastmasters and a John Maxwell certified coach, speaker and Trainer.

Sharing knowledge and capacity building is my passion.
